Q. When did you join PWS?
I joined PWS in 2021.
Q. Why did you want to start investing in property?
During the pandemic, I was made redundant from the events industry, which took a significant hit during that time. This experience led me to re-evaluate my future and make a decision to focus on building generational wealth, stepping away from the traditional rat race.
Due to being classed as high risk with asthma and cerebral palsy, I had to delay my plans but was able to start actively pursuing this goal in July 2022.
Q. What do you do for a living? And if that has changed since investing in property, how has it changed?
I currently work for a company where I’ve recently transitioned to a part-time role. This change allows me more flexibility to focus on my long-term goals while continuing to contribute meaningfully in my professional capacity.
Q. Biggest learning to date?
Opportunities with houses often seem to come all at once, much like buses. It’s amazing how much there is to learn along the way, and the more you know, the better equipped you are to make informed decisions - knowledge truly is power!
Q. What do you find challenging about your personal property investment journey?
At the beginning of the pandemic, I couldn’t attend viewings due to being high-risk, but I built strong relationships with agents over the phone.
I made up for this during a two-day mentorship with Donna, where I was able to purchase four properties at once, all while managing full-time work and multiple refurbishments.
Q. How has the education and network from PWS helped you?
The education at PWS is incredible, and the mentors and PWS crew are not only extremely knowledgeable but genuinely care about your success.
Thanks to their guidance, I’ve been able to avoid many potential mistakes and navigate challenges with confidence.
Q. Tell us about a deal you've been really proud of...
My first property acquisition was made during a two-day mentorship with PWS; a lovely 2-bed property on Critchlow Grove, which I transformed into a 3-bed.
I purchased it for £90k, spent £25k on renovations, and the property was later refinanced at £150k. It now generates £350 in monthly profit after expenses. The ROI worked out to 50%, with the money in the deal for three years, and it’s now nearly a free house.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is to listen and follow what you are being taught - it really does work!

Q. What's next for you?
At the time of typing (!) I currently have one house waiting in probate, and I’ve just put in a cheeky offer on two more properties. I’m transitioning into HMOs and, in the future, plan to move into commercial-to-residential projects...who knows, maybe even a hotel someday!
